Reverse Osmosis Systems

Let's be honest, the water our city sends us has been spotty at best over the years. When i first started in the water treatment industry, our average tap water had a TDS (total dissolved solids) of 270 in the La Mesa area. Now it's well over 450 TDS.

What does that mean? Simply put, there's more stuff in our water than there used to be. Now most of us don't have the time or patience to constantly keep checking the local water reports provided by our city (but if you do, here's the link San Diego Water Quality Report).

The absolute best way to provide your family safe drinking water, without having to stress about local water reports, or kill the environment with plastic bottles, is a reverse osmosis system. Reverse Osmosis systems will strip your water of 99% of all contaminants. Chemicals like Chloramines, Barium, Fluorides, and Uranium will be removed from your effluent water line.

I know what you've read, Reverse Osmosis systems strip out the good minerals as well. Unfortunately, that is correct. R.O. systems will also strip out the good minerals that our bodies need such as Calcium and Magnesium.

But with a simple additional filter, we can easily reintroduce those essential minerals by installing a Calcite post filter to your reverse osmosis system with our 6th stage addition.

Reverse osmosis systems can also be wasteful. The systems of old used to send 2 gallons of Concentrate (dirty water), down the drain for ever 1 gallon of clean water produced. Current systems are closer to 50/50 on rejection to production now. We at Kraken, also believe in reuse of water waste. We have systems in place to help you reclaim that 50% loss and reuse it for other purposes. There are also other system options available with even less rejection rates, and even a smaller footprint under your sink.
